One down!

*ROAR*!!!! Finally, done with Business Computing Excel assignment, Monday is time to present our hard work and hope its rewarded with a good grade. Well, the happiness does not last long though, there are two more assignments to go, mainly Study Skills and FOB. Well, I have made some progress, hope to get them done with soon but having said that, I am happy again! Arsenal won!!!!

Well, there was a lot of talking from a particular player this time around, Robin van Persie. He talked the talk so could he walk the walk? Yes he can, because the scored the only goal which proved to be the winner over Fulham. His goals are hard to come by but when they do, they are something special. The game was kinda...boring for me because Arsenal weren't playing well, credit to Fulham for that and they really gave us everything they got. So, we were cancelling each other out for most part of the game.

The game also witness the return of Andrey Arshavin. I have to say, his second season ain't as great as his first. He is kinda quiet and not really sharp it seems. A little more time I guess. As for the tall Dane, Bendtner...he looked as seem he has a routine in the game, which is - driblling to the edge of the box, not releasing his teammate with a pass just to lose the ball cheaply or shoot wide. As for Eboue, if he could just, if not taken but tested the keeper with his chances, we would not be under so much pressure. Good thing is Rosicky is still fit and he provides the team with experience, a touch of class and assurance and good passes. Good job Tomas! The defence was quite solid but the young Italian keeper was the man-of-the-match. At a tender age of 21, Vito Mannone, made saves after saves after saves to ensure we go home with all 3 points. Kudos the next Buffon? *fingers crossed*

Well, a so-so day for me if I exclude the win and completing the Excel assignment. Going to bed now, but knowing Chelsea lost just put the icing on the cake XD.

Moving away from football reviews

Well, yea, that's what I get from my friends reading, which I can't blame them because my posts are mostly on football reviews...So now, to add a bit of variety to my blog, I'll write about something else then.

Oh, before moving on, I am serving Nuffnang's ads!!! All thanks to Caren, *link provided at the side so do visit her site and click on the ads to make her happier ;)*. So, help me to click and check out the ads as well yea, so instead of making one person happy, now you'll be making two person happier!!! Thanks yea!

First time writing about my life in university here, can't say I love it but certainly can't say I hate it as well. Ironic eh? Maybe I had it too easy during my time in CIMP? Well, not saying that CIMP did not prepare me well for university, just that for me personally, the gap between the standard back in CIMP and university now is quite far apart. Having said that, CIMP prepared me well in some other expect and by far the most important expect for me would be the exposure of presentations. However, the quality of work and hours of lecturer are a bit short.

Now, I am only taking 5 subjects - namely English, Study Skills, Foundations of Business, Business Computing and Literature...

English, is just plain boring and the lecturer did not really help much is brightening up the class, so yea, gotta live with this sadly.

As for Study Skills, in which I initially thought would be the most boring of classes this semester actually turned out to be the one that I actually enjoyed. Sadly, its over now, only lasted for 4 and a half weeks. But, it did not just went quietly, it left us with assignments to be completed and an exam paper to sit for =.=.

Next up, FOB, not bad for me, but scoring is a problem. Like I said, the quality of work is high, so still struggling to come up with answer more than two pages and that's with my books and notes open right in front of me...

Furthermore, its Business Computing...This, is a KILLER!!! The ironic thing is that, just like study skills, I actually thought that this would be the easier subjects around but how wrong can I be? Our mid term exam would cover all 7 chapters, well, if that's not enough, covering all 7 chapters take up alot of time and what's worse is that the lecturer expect us to be well equipped with the current news and the past examples to support our answers. No doubt this would really train us but a little more help needed maybe? Is this what are installed for us in the next two years?

Lastly, literature. Well, firstly I do not really understand why in a business course we need to take literature? When writing reports or proposals I do not think that we need to include any writing techniques or any poems? I thought its just straight to the point and selling your strengths while covering your weaknesses? But, that's the fact, we have to sit for it. The lecturer herself is very good but her being new, she is struggling to keep the class in order...

Well, that's a bit of my struggles in university but I got a bunch of great classmates so its ain't so bad ;). Just learnt quite an important term in Bahasa Indonesia...yes, I am talking about you Leni, in Bahasa Indonesia, the word 'belanja' which in Malay would mean spend or treat someone to a meal but its not for them, it means shopping...So, be careful when you use this word next time yea. So, instead, say 'traktir'. Signing off~

From despair to delight

All hail and a very big, warm welcome to 'Goal Machine', solid, and a no-nonsense type defender, the Belgian, Thomas VERMAELEN!!!!!!!!! In the Gunners' latest encounter, Wigan came to the Emirates for a visit and we managed to have a simple, straight forward 4-0 win over them. As you might have guessed, Vermaelen was the man of the match, scoring two goals and an ever presence in the heart of defence. Great buy Arsene Wenger!!! The first came from a corner, taken by van Persie and bulleted onto the roof of the net by Vermaelen, then the second, coming from the same source, mind you, he is a defender, he was able to curl his goal into the top corner. The third was kinda funny, with a little confusion in the celebration. Eduardo struck a goal bound shot only to be deflected off Eboue which further guided the ball from the reach of Kirkland's arm. The camera was fixed on Eduardo but it took quite some time for his team mate to come congratulate him. Lastly, the goal came from the captain himself, appeared to be struggling with some sort of injury but he made a good run and brilliantly picked out by Bendtner for the fourth. I think, with the team sweeping aside the so-called 'smaller teams' this season so far, we can have a shout as the problem over the years is that we failed to break teams down who only came to defend and worse, losing to them...So far so good, lets keep moving forward!!!

Based on the game and some previous games as well. I do not think that Persie is the best candidate for the central striker position. Firstly, he is not strong enough as a post up player and he is somewhat a little alone at times. I would prefer seeing either Bendtner or Eduardo up there as they provide physical presence and finishing up front respectively. Although I can see the logic putting Persie there is to be the link and build plays, however, we are missing his goals and he appears to be struggling as well. Let's hope this works.

Yesterday, was the Council's second welfare trip. We brought the kids from the "House of Joy" to the Deer and Bird Park. Nature wasn't on our side as it rained before the trip and towards the end of the trip. Tired but worth it nonetheless. Building up to this trip, I did not sleep, literally for over 24 hours....Ask me why? I can't answer you as well....now I feel like a zombie with burning eyes. Gonna sleep soon guys. So, gonna leave it here this time. Carling cup ties coming up, another opportunity for the young and second string players to play. Come on GUNNERS!!!!

Utterly Disgusted

We lost, 4-2 away at the City of Manchester Stadium, home to the mega-rich Manchester City. A back to back lost, once again in which luck did not favor Arsenal a single bit.

Let's start with the beginning, a Micah Richards' header, which bounced of the post, a diving (very delayed) Almunia who unluckily headed the ball with the back of his head into his own net. 1-0 to Man City.

Arsenal fought back, it was in the second half. Robin van Persie finally scored, a right footed low drive which beat Shay Given. Good goal dude!

Man City got the vital second goal. Sagna lost out to Micah Richards who ran into the box to set up Craig Bellemy who score past Almunia. This happened despite Arsenal are pressing the air out of Man City. Soon, they would get their third, which is to whom I am dedicating the title of this post to. EMANUER MONEYBAYOR, yea, I am talking about you, you asshole, who headed the third and made the effort to run the whole stadium and slide in front of the Arsenal fans to celebrate. Let me tell you this you f**ker, there is one thing call Karma and mark my word you'll definately get what you deserves which I say now is that would not be a nice one. Not to forget you stepped on Persie's face, replay would show how bad was it...Karma my friend. Lastly Man City got the fourth from a counter attack, finished by Wrights Phillip.

Arsenal were to get a consolation, by the returning Tomas Rosicky. Good to see you back buddy. You did very well. Arsenal could made a grandstand finish even though they were down. If there were to finish off the chances they created at the ending stages of the game, it could even end up being 5 or 6 goals for the Arsenal, but the word is IF...

Like I mentioned, Rosicky is back. He did well and hope he build from this. Arshavin, big player missing in big matches, very common for Arsenal...We missed him on the field. Nasri, hope you come back soon. Walcott, prove that you're the next Henry when you're back. All in all, the performance just now, was not up to par with the performance they had a fortnight ago when going up against ManU. Blame ourselves for not really showing up. Let's pick ourselves up Gunners and Gooners alike. We can achieve this year. GO GUNNERS!!!
