When I was away

I am baaaaaaaack!!!!! Inhaling the not-so-fresh-air, stuck in the hectic life-style of a big city which back in my hometown Kuching, I would not face. How I miss the atmosphere back there...but snap back to reality, I am here, in one piece and ready for my studies!! Hmm, just gonna share some events that took place back in my hometown..and B-T-W, in Kuching, WE DO NOT STAY ON TREES!!! Call yourself Malaysians...not that I am very proud myself with 3 Churches being torched (my best regards are with you all).

Ok, let me start by the visit of my grand parents, maternal side. They are in a village, which Astro AEC board casted on it program when I was back there. Its 17 mile from the main town, where I am at, and its called Siburan. I spent my Primary 6 year in that village, so I do have some friends that I know there and we met up during a futsal session back there where I busted my knee, still busted now...

*My parents, with my turning 82 this year Grandma

*That's me with my Grandma, a little blur

Ok, next up another trip to a temple this time, we went on Christmas day, and it took approximately 45 minutes to reach, now after you see the atmosphere and still thinks that people in Kuching still stays on tree, then you're forgiven a little as people there have houses too! The place is called Asa Jaya, by the way, going to a temple doesn't make me a Buddhist or some kind, its more like a Chinese culture.

*That's the jetty with some of the Dayaks there.

*That's the 'sampan' that will get us across the river

* A bit rundown it may seem but its well equipped with life jackets =)

*That's our destination

*Shots of the temple taken from the tower in previous photo

*Another view

Well, those are the places I visited. I did met up with some of my friends and went visiting during Christmas and caught up with some of my school mates who are all doing fine. Now, let's be more at 'home', I take some shots of my house as well =).

*Welcome to my crib ;)

*A little garden place outside, promote 'Go-Green'

*The back yard

*Another view of the back yard, again promoting 'Go-Green' =)

If there is one thing that I can take along with me to KL, my house would definitely be on top of that list because my room comes along with it =D.

*My bed =)

*My little cabinet besides my bed, and yes in Kuching, a table fan is enough to keep one cool

*My closet, now quite empty since I am over here

*Used to be a frequent user, but now no more, and the gas inside it leaked so its not even cold now.

Lastly, let me end with my filled my tummy.

Durian, we all know, and yes I consume them but have you ever seen one of this size?

*Yes, its only one seed. Nice!

Next, its curry! My dad's side is quite known for their curry when my Grandad was still around, in the humble town of Gerik, Perak, his curry was quite well known. Back in Kuching, although its not really his recipe, but it taste nice nonetheless. When curry is served as lunch, Kolo-styled noodle, bean sprouts plus curry will be the menu for dinner.

*The bean sprouts. In case any of you are wondering,
I picked off all the ends of each bean sprouts in there =D

*The noodle

*The Curry *drool*

*Mix them up and this is what you get. Bon Appetite!

So there you have it, a little from my time back in Kuching. Till here this time, signing out!
