Practice Practice

As a starter, this has nothing to do with my studies at all XD. Well, I had a kareoke session with my classmates yesterday, had a great time and happen to stumble upon some Fish Leong's songs. Got hooked on instantly and went to a rampage in obtaining the songs and see whether can I manage her songs or not. Luckily for me, her keys are too high so I could still manage. Just that, for me, going to sing in a kareoke, many would find me weird, because I can only sing with the songs' audio on, if not i'll feel lost :P. Gotta share a video of her song here. What I meant by working on, is memorizing the lyrics, not the singing techniques, I only sing for my own leisure =D

*translation*
What if I said, there's no 'if' in loving me?
If you let the chance pass you by, then you won't have another. Would you be sad?
What if we were together for this reason? Would that be good enough?

What if I said, there's no 'if' in loving me? If you really love me, then take the risk and seize the chance.
What are you waiting for? Come and take my hand.

Someone once said, the greatest distance in the world is not life and death,
it's my standing in front of you, and your not knowing that I love you.

I always say, if mankind is held back by itself even in loving somebody,
then the world has already ended. No need to wait for the earth's destruction.

What if I said, there's no 'if' in loving me?
If you let the chance pass, you won't have another. Would that make you sad?
What if we were together for this reason? Would that be good enough?

What if I said, there's no 'if' in loving me? If you really love me, then take the risk and seize the chance.
What are you waiting for? Come and take my hand.

Don't be afraid to be happy.
Don't be afraid to lose me.

*screaming out at the top of my lungs*

I think even doing what the title of this post for me actually helps much..How do you know nothing is going to happen in your favour? Well, allow me to share a bit of my experience over these few days.

- my personal life sucks and is messed up
- it started to rain heavily as soon as I wanted to head out to watch The Arsenal
- its a thunder storm and I hate lightning
- arrived to watch, but is surrounded by chimneys, my chest literally hurts now
- the start of the game, my team sucked
- we scored a freak goal but the process injured our captain (3 main attacking threats gone now)
- started to play better in the second half, until our all important anchor got sent off early
- finally got a penalty, but missed
- we lost 2 points as they equalized with literally the last kick of the game after a lucky break for them
- we drew, 4 points behind Chelsea now (since their opponents is Blackpool later which we trashed 6-0)
- add all these up....It really really hurts.

The only thing that I would be happy about is Nadal winning the U.S Open, he now has won all 4 grand slams, the youngest ever to complete such feat.

I am almost at my lowest point, so not going to write much. As for Sunday, I have a futsal game, with almost all around seems to be going against me, I just hope I come back the way I leave for the game.

Arsenal again

Hello! Been a while since I last wrote a football post, been getting the sticks that my blog is all about football but since now that I can't sleep, who cares, I write what I want.

So after 4 rounds of matches, we sitting behind a very strong looking Chelsea while having a little bit of space from 3rd place, MU. Ain't too bad and I hope it just gets better. Pretty much enjoyed the Bolton game which we won just now, and a thank here to Leni, along with Indra and Franklin who were there to not make me watch the game alone.

The new comers are doing pretty well but our more seniors players, as expected are already on the treatment table. The usual, Robin van Persie 4-6 weeks out, the one in good form Theo Walcott 4-6 weeks out as well and just now Diaby, a bad and high tackle just now and he ain't in good shape according to le Boss. So yea, a bitter sweet some may argue, and I don't think we'll have two of our more important players ready for Chelsea which will turn out to be a big loss because Chelsea just look so good that we'll need all our best 11 to compete with them. *fingers cross*

Well, the good thing from the game is that, the players who are fit are starting to find some sort of a rhythm which is good. Players like Cesc and especially Vela, scoring goals and getting assists. For now, my wish is to have big players injury free for major part of the season, the previous few that I mentioned, just get back fit and prevent from getting injured again, that's all I asked of you.

On a different note, Rafael Nadal is in the finals of the U.S Open for the first time, if he manage to go all the way, he'll become the youngest ever to complete the Grand Slam collections. U.S, not his strongest while its R-Fed's better courts, will be a major battle for Rafa if he is to come up against R-Fed. Come on Rafa!!!!

The tale of the three dances

What can I say, one of my all time favourite bands and my favourite song performed live by them. It just couldn't get any better than that. Please, this is not noise, very far from it in fact, this is how music should be defined as.

I love the music,
and I love the words as well,
enjoy =).

Dream Theater - Metropolis - Part I (The Miracle And The Sleeper)
Live, Score.

The smile of dawn arrived early May
She carried a gift from her home
The night shed a tear to tell her of fear
And of sorrow and pain
She'll never outgrow
Death is the first dance, eternal

There's no more freedom
The both of you will be
confined to this mind
I was told there's a miracle for each day that I try
I was told there's a new love
that's born for each one that has died
I was told there'd be no one to
call on when I feel alone and afraid
I was told if you dream of the next world
You'll find yourself swimming in a lake of fire

As a child, I thought I could
live without pain without sorrow
As a man I've found it's all caught up with me
I'm asleep yet I'm so afraid

Somewhere like a scene from a memory
There's a picture worth a thousand words
Eluding stares from faces before me
It hides away and will never be heard of again
Deceit is the second without end

The city's cold blood teaches us to survive
Just keep my heart in your eyes and we'll stay alive
The third arrives...

Before the leaves have fallen
Before we lock the doors
There must be the third and last dance
This one will last forever
Metropolis watches and thoughtfully smiles
She's taken you to your home

It can only take place
When the struggle between
our children has ended
Now the Miracle and the
Sleeper know that the third is love
Love is the Dance of Eternity

My 70th

I broke a promise...Was supposed to dedicate this particular post to Michelle during our anniversary but I guess its better to keep the memory in our mind =). As you can see, I am about 2 months overdue on this particular post. Haven't been able to find the motivation to write, and when the motivation does come, I got nothing to write about. Irony huh...

Well, now I am here writing, nothing much happened and now I am a 2nd year student and assignments are pilling up already. Although the subjects this time around are not as heavy as the previous semester's but the workload is almost like double compared to the previous semester...Oh well, just need to get them my all and hope what I have given is enough to make me a happier guy in the future as I barely made it through last semester in one piece, a weeee bit too close for comfort there *phew*.

Life has been alright, nothing big happened. Just been to a few movies here and there, gained weight and my knee, or rather knees are kinda busted =(. So, futsal has been quite rarely for me nowadays BUT...hehe, yea there is a but here. I am at the process of forming a team of my own, with a few of my friends to play on a more regular basis because I am kinda tired playing in teams made from scratch and get our asses whooped by some other more regular teams. So yea, planning to make that happen and hope it does come true =).

During the past few days, have been talking with Michelle about our birthday this year. Our birthdays are just 4 days apart, and this year we can't celebrate on any of the exact days because of her exams schedule so we came up with a new date where we both are going to celebrate together. Just yesterday, Michelle already gotten me a very early birthday gift and I am loving it =). Won't be using it anytime soon yet I guess but you never know XD.

Till here this time, ain't too bad after so long out of the business don't you think ;). Will be back soon next time I hope...

gLee

Thanks to a certain classmate of mine, Felicia, I got hooked onto the 'gLee' series. Well, the series appeals to me in the sense that I love music and a huge part of the story is about the music, the way the lyrics can seamlessly be incorporated into the story line or just a cool, innovation mashup of different songs. The downside however, although this can be expected, which is the songs performed in the series are pre-recorded however, it's amazing how fast the choreograph of each song is being made and performed. All in all, I would recommend to anyone who is willing to give it a shot. =)

On a different note, the series strikes me in another way which is that it help me realize how much I love music and sing. I am not a born singer, do not have appealing looks and do not possess a good voice to win the hearts of others...unlike a certain Justin Bieber (urgh!). I sing for my own leisure and for those who are close to me or just appreciate my effort, so yea, in a sense I do not sing for free XD.

Well, maybe its the environment that we Asians are brought up in comparison to the Westerners. Over there, they are very direct and open, helping each other along the way through constructive critics as for the situation here, its very different. It happens almost every time to almost everyone, as soon as someone starts to sing or perform in public, friends around would start to say things like 'My Grandma can dance better than you' or 'My dog sounds better than you'. So, I find the environment is kinda hard for an individual to grow, well how is one going to improve when his or her confidence and self-esteem hits rock bottom thanks to the people around them before they even start? For me, Michelle was always there, she encourages (forces) me to sing for her and I think she got the full package of what my voice can do. I can hit the high notes in Whitney Houstan's 'I Will Always Love You' during one of the visits to the kareoke. Maybe that's a one off, who knows? Just a thought of mine...
